Simplified Master Plan and Feasibility Study for Upgrade and Extension of the Drinking Water Supply Systems of Tashkent, Fergana and Kashkadarya Regions
COGITE’s team and its partner #EGIS just came back from a mission in #Uzbekistan (27th of November to 4th of December) to present the TEO and Capacity Building Program to the #Uzuvtaminot (national level) and three #Suvtaminoti (local level).
The Republic of Uzbekistan turned to the French Development Agency (AFD) with a request to consider the possibility of financing three water supply projects in seven districts located in three regions:
- Yakkabog, Qamashi and Guzar districts of Kashkadarya region;
- Kuva and Altiariq districts of Fergana region;
- Parkent and Yukori-Chirchik districts of Tashkent region.
The Consortium, EGIS-COGITE, has been selected by #AFD to conduct Simplified Master Plans and Feasibility Studies to Upgrade and Extend the Drinking Water Supply Systems for these Regions.
The overall objective is to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants by upgrading the water supply infrastructure and improving the water supply services. The project investments will allow the Svutaminoti to meet the growing future water demand of households and industries, thereby ensuring access to the population of safe and affordable drinking water while supporting industrial growth.
COGITE is in charge of the Capacity Building Program as well as the NRW, financial and economic aspects of the project.
Thanks to our partner #EGIS (#Etienne de Vaumas and his team from Ukraine)
